Whats Going On Ghana ?

In 1957 Ghana was declared independent from Great Britain. This was shortly followed by the Ghanaian government introducing universal interventions for all of its people, including children. A seemingly good plan but around the 1980s, Ghana decided to change its social policies and it was the vulnerable children who suffered the most. As it stands, foster care is unavailable in the country due to the lack of resources as claimed in the report to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (1997-2000) Article 7.6.

It is no surprise that children living in care institutions suffer with a lack of familial support and decades of child welfare research demonstrate that children homes and orphanages have not been successful in meeting the emotional and psychological needs of these children. But rather than just accept this as a reality it is time to make a change.

Turning Dreams Into Reality

One of our core values at Visibility Africa is transparency. We believe that all finances should be published so that you can see the real impact of your donations in beneficiaries lives. We want to create a supportive environment to meet their physical and psychological needs this is fundamental and will contribute to the rest of their lives. Every donation turns dreams into realities. By supporting Visibility Africa, you are part of a network of people committed to improving human development in Africa.

We donate our time and resources, but your donations are an investment for the future.

Visibility Africa's approach is based on improving lives for the future

We will be 100% clear as to where your donations are going as well as keeping you up to date with what is going on in the lives of these beneficiaries.

We will continue to ask questions to our beneficiaries to see what we can do to improve their wellbeing as we continue to fight for child rights.

These children will be the face of the continent in the next 20-30 years. We want to make a long-lasting impact on every life that we come into contact with.
